Directions to The
Coniston Hotel and Country Estate
From the M1:
Leave the M1 at the J42 intersection with J29 on the M62, then
follow the M62 to exit 26. Take the M606 to Bradford, follow
the Bradford ring road anti-clockwise onto the A6177 and then
join the A650 to Bingley and Keighley, following the signs
for Skipton and the A629.
Bypass Skipton (2 roundabouts) and at the third roundabout (Little
Chef/Burger King) take the A65 Kendal exit. Proceed through the
village of Gargrave and The Coniston Hotel is on your right hand
side on leaving the village of Coniston Cold (approximately 7 miles
from Skipton).
From the Northbound M6:
Leave the motorway at J31 (signposted to Preston, Blackburn,
Clitheroe A59) and join the A59 towards Clitheroe. Continue on
the A59 past Clitheroe and on to Gisburn. In Gisburn turn left
at the mini roundabout onto the A682, heading for Settle and
the Lakes.
Approximately 7 miles on, take the first turning to Hellifield.
In Hellifield you meet the A65 for Skipton and Settle. Turn right
towards the Skipton direction and one and a half miles further
on you will find The Coniston Hotel signposted on your left.
From the A1:
Leave the A1 at the exit for the A659 (just south of Wetherby)
and join the A659 towards Harewood House. Remain on the A659
past Harewood House and on towards Otley. From Otley join the
A65 for Ilkley and Skipton.
Remain on the A65 through Ilkley and continue towards Skipton.
Bypass Skpton (2 roundabouts) and at the third roundabout (Little
Chef/Burger King) take the third exit to remain on the A65 for
Kendal and Lake District. Proceed through the village of Gargrave
and The Coniston Hotel is on the right hand side on leaving the
village of Coniston Cold.
