I’m just writing to say what an amazing time we had at your hotel this weekend.

The packed lunches were spot on, the rooms were lovely and the service was brilliant.  Great food both evenings, good real ale on tap, and staff that really cared – you all knew what we were doing and were really friendly and supportive of our cause.  Also your flexibility around our needs, bacon butties before we left and holding a table for us that evening whatever time we landed was just so supportive given we couldn’t really guarantee what time we’d be back, this is above and beyond good service.

We have just returned home after a weekends stay at the Coniston for our first anniversary. We got married at the hotel last year and I kept meaning to get round to writing to you to say what a fantastic day we had. Following this weekend I wanted to thank everybody at the hotel for fantastic service on both occasions it is clear that everybody works extremely hard, however nothing is too much trouble for the guests. Particular recognition obviously to Vicky on our wedding day and also Louise who makes the hotel so welcoming! Over this year we have attended many weddings and we have really come to appreciate the standards and uniqueness of the Coniston hotel.

We also had half a day's falconry experience during our visit-which again was excellent! Matt is clearly extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his subject and this made the experience very enjoyable. Last year my (now) husband also took advantage of the clay pigeon shooting with the men of the bridal party, I am sure there will be a follow up to this quite soon as I believe it got quite competitive and a good time was had by all!

Many, many thanks for a truly memorable weekend! Fantastic food, great surroundings and genuinely nice staff-we hope to be back very soon!
