Supplier Spotlight: Neve Fleetwood

Today we’re celebrating National Fish & Chip Day with an exclusive offer in Huntsman’s Lodge! Enjoy fish & chips for two for only £20 – available from 12pm – 7pm.

But we also wanted to shout about our fantastic fish supplier, Neve Fleetwood, in our next instalment of our Supplier Spotlight blogs.

Neve Fleetwood supply the delicious haddock that we use for our fish & chips here at the Hotel which is lightly battered using beer batter made with another local favourite, Timothy Taylors.

But it’s not just all about the fish & chips! Neve Fleetwood supply quality fresh fish and seafood throughout the North West of England. They source, prepare and deliver our fish directly to the kitchen here at the Hotel and have been doing so for over 15 years.

The team at Neve Fleetwood have a wealth of knowledge and experience within the fish and seafood industry; this experience enables them to offer us valuable advice on fish and seafood availability, menu planning and our daily catch of the day. Our Head Chef, Chris Oakden, has been working with our incredibly knowledgeable Area Manager, Dominic Blanc, for many years now.

Their ethos encompasses some core values including freshness, environmental responsibility and traceability. In our Supplier Spotlight blog, we love to shout about our local suppliers and those who take their environmental impact seriously. Neve Fleetwood source local fish to ensure the freshest fish for their customers. They will only transport fish across the country if it cannot be sourced locally, to ensure they reduce food miles and their overall carbon footprint. In addition, all of their fish is fully traceable, from the moment it is caught to the arrival in our kitchens.
