Following on from the Government announcement with regards to the flexing of coronavirus restrictions on the 19th July we wanted to share with you our latest COVID-19 Update. Although certain policies and protocols have been relaxed, here at The Coniston our colleagues will continue with some measures, such as wearing face masks and PPE, for a little while longer.

This important and poignant Prime Minister's update follows an uncertain and unprecedented sixteen months, so we would like to again express our complete gratitude to you - our customers, colleagues and community - for the support you have shown us throughout these testing times. Thank you.

Now, this is the moment that we have all been waiting for, freedom is on the horizon and we look towards the future with excitement and hope - we cannot wait to welcome you back to The Coniston!

FAQs

  • Bedroom Reservations

    Q. I have a bedroom booking between 8 March and 16 May, what do I need to do?
    A. Our team are currently working through all reservations, arriving between these dates, in date order. A member of the team will be with in touch with your very shortly to discuss your options.

    Q. When can I move my booking to?
    A. Bedrooms will reopen 17 May 2021. Your booking can be moved up to a maximum of 6 months from your original reservation date, with no charge.

    Q. Can I have a refund?
    A. A refund may be issued, subject to the terms and conditions of your original booking. If you are booked under an ‘Offer Package’, this is non-refundable but is transferrable to an alternative date, within 6 months. After this date, an alternative will be offered. If you are booked under a ‘Best Available Rate Package’, this is transferrable to an alternative date within 12 months, or a refund will be issued.

  • Cottage Reservations

    Q. I have a cottage booking between 8 March and 11 April what do I need to do?
    A. Our team are currently working through all reservations, arriving between these dates, in date order. A member of the team will be with in touch with your very shortly to discuss your options.

    Q. When can I move my booking to?
    A. Our country cottages will reopen 12 April 2021. From this date until 16 May, bookings must be one household only. From 12 May until 21 June, bookings must be a maximum of two households. Your booking can be moved up to a maximum of 12 months from your original reservation date, with no charge.

    Q. What happens if my booking is with Sykes?
    A. Sykes will be in touch with you directly to cancel your booking and arrange a refund.

  • Spa Reservations

    Q. I have a day spa or treatment between 8 March and 11 April what do I need to do?
    A. Our team are currently working through all reservations, arriving between these dates, in date order. A member of the team will be with in touch with your very shortly to discuss your options.

    Q. When can I move my booking to?
    A. The Spa will open from 12 April, although the thermal facilities will remain closed until 17 May. Guests visiting from 12 April until 16 May can however enjoy the brand-new spa atmosphere and amenities, including our new infinity pool! You can also indulge your taste buds and dine on the terrace of our Spa Kitchen or relax with some small plates and something refreshing by our brand-new outdoor bar.

  • Coniston Off-Road Reservations

    Q. I have a 4x4 booking between 8 March and 11 April what do I need to do?
    A. Our team are currently working through all reservations, arriving between these dates, in date order. A member of the team will be with in touch with you very shortly to discuss your options.

    Q. When can I move my booking to?
    A. We are currently taking bookings from 12 April onwards. Any existing bookings can be transferred to an alternative date, within 6 months of your original reservation date.
    Can I have a refund? A refund may be issued, subject to the terms and conditions of your original booking.

  • Dining Reservations

    Q. I have a dining reservation 8 March and 11 April, what do I need to do?
    A. Your reservation will be cancelled automatically.

    Q. What dining options are available from 12 April?
    A. Guests can soak up the Yorkshire scenery and dine ‘Al Fresco’ on The View Terrace or our brand-new Spa eatery The Blossom Kitchen. Options are also available to enjoy some tastes of Yorkshire on The Coniston Estate, including our Signature Afternoon Tea and traditional picnics. From 17 May we will be taking indoor reservations.

  • Event Reservations

    I have a booking between 8 March and 11 April, what do I need to do?
    The team will be in touch to discuss your options.

    What bookings can be made and when?
    From 8 March – 11 April - Celebrations of Life can be held for up to 30 guests and small wedding ceremonies and corporate events for up to 6 guests (exceptional circumstances). From 12 April – 17 May - Celebrations of Life can be held for up to 30 guests and small wedding ceremonies and corporate events for up to 15 guests. From 17 May – 20 June Celebrations of Life can be held for up to 30 guests and wedding ceremonies and corporate events for up to 30 guests. From 21 June - It is expected we can hold all events from 30 guests plus.
