Just a short journey from the hotel you'll find The Angel at Hetton. A Michelin Star restaurant, Head Chef Michael Wignall delivers food that wows on every plate. His ever-evolving style creates unique dishes full of flavour, underpinned by a contemporary, less formal approach to fine cuisine. Describing his food as ‘modern, technical and meaningful’, each element brings flavour or texture, enticing diners to experience new combinations and ingredients.
Local cheese tour
The Courtyard Dairy near local market town Settle, is a unique, specialist cheese-shop and cheese-maturer. Visit the museum telling the history and story of farmhouse cheese. The shop itself has become a renowned destination shop, where regulars and visitors alike enjoy the opportunity to sample and purchase some of the finest cheese to be found in Europe.
Gourmet dining
A warm, true northern welcome awaits just a short journey over the border to Lancashire where you'll find the charming country house, Northcote Manor in Old Langho. Exquisite menus, championing the finest produce and honouring the ingredients, are created by Lisa Goodwin-Allen, one of the UKs top chefs regularly seen on BBC’s Great British Menu, Saturday Kitchen and James Martin’s Saturday Morning.
