- PARKING & TRAVEL
Complimentary parking is provided for all spa guests. The Coniston Spa cannot be held responsible for any damaged property whilst on the premises.
Please allow plenty of time for travel and traffic levels and to give yourself time to settle into the Spa surroundings as treatments will commence promptly from given times. If you should arrive late for any reason please phone the spa in advance, note your treatment may be shortened if you should arrive late.
The nearest train station to The Coniston Spa is Gargrave Rail Station which is situated around 2.1 miles away.
- SPA OPENING TIMES
All spa guests will be given an arrival time which will be confirmed upon booking. We politely ask that you arrive at your scheduled time to ensure we can offer you the best welcome possible. If you are booked for a treatment only, please allow sufficient time to complete a health consultation form. Please note that should you arrive late this may result your treatment time being reduced and in some instances could result in your treatment being cancelled with a charge.
The Spa is open daily
Monday – Friday 6.15am – 9.00pm
Saturday – Sunday 7.00am – 8.00pm
Spa treatments are available from 9:00am Monday – Saturday and 11:00am on Sunday. Subject to availability.
- THERMAL EXPERIENCE ACCESS
Your access times will be confirmed at the time of booking and on your email confirmation. Each Spa Day will have different access time inclusions.
All residents are able to use the Spa thermal experience for 2-hrs. On making your booking with the Reservations Team please reserve your 2-hr access to avoid disappointment. Should you make your booking online please call the Team on 01756 748080 to reserve your 2-hrs use.
Should you be staying with us for two nights or more you will be able to use the Spa thermal experience for 2-hrs per night of your stay with us.
Please note we do not offer access to our thermal experience as a standalone option.
- WHAT SHALL I BRING/WEAR?
Suitable swimwear is obligatory in the thermal experience at all times. You may wish to bring a change of swimwear to ensure you are comfortable through your treatments. Robes and slippers will be provided for your Spa day.
Please note your own footwear/full clothing cannot be worn in the thermal experience. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are available complimentary in the changing areas as well as towels. Where possible we try and be as economical as possible and request all guests respect our environmental friendly policy.
- NOURISH, SPA BRASSERIE
We operate an informal dress code for lunch which includes being able to wear your robe.
Nourish is our well-being Spa brasserie offering vibrant food options including light bites, mains, desserts and afternoon tea. To offer our guests a healthier choice, we buy fresh, seasonal produce from local or nearby sources. We try our very best to use sustainably sourced products, with the lowest food miles.
You are able to add additional courses to your spa day subject to availability in the Spa brasserie.
Should you have any specific dietary requirements, please inform our reservations team upon booking. Whilst we make every effort to cater for dietary requests on the day, this may not be guaranteed.
Only alcohol purchased at the onsite bar may be drank within the Spa. We ask that whilst on the premises that you drink responsibly.
- ENHANCING YOUR EXPERIENCE
You are able to add extra treatments at an additional cost to enhance your Spa day with us. Please visit our treatments section on the website to take a look at our range of indulgent treatments. Unsure about what may be best for you? Speak to a member of the Spa team who would be delighted to guide you through our range of options.
- ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED AT THE SPA?
The minimum age for guests to visit the Spa on a Spa day is 16yrs. Infants, toddlers and children under 16yrs old will not be accepted in the spa as day spa guests.
To maintain the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere we respectfully request that you do not bring young children/infants when you arrive or depart or enter the premise to make a booking or purchase vouchers.
We have a maximum capacity of 10 children (residents only) at any one time in the Spa to keep a peaceful ambience. Should you intend on using the indoor pool with children please be aware that you must book in advance with the Hotel Reception. 1 adult to 2 children.
You may be asked to wait before entering the facility should the thermal experience capacity be at its maximum. Children’s times for residents are 08.30-09.45 and must vacate the Spa building by 10.00am. Please note these times also apply to the brasserie and changing areas.
- CAN I VISIT DURING PREGNANCY?
To all pregnant ladies we recommend the Spa is completely avoided during the first trimester of pregnancy. Following this stage we recommend you seek advice from your own GP/Midwife as each pregnancy is different. We do have specific treatments and spa days that you can enjoy throughout the second trimester of your pregnancy.
- HEALTH CONDITIONS
It is essential that you advise us of any medical conditions and allergies prior to arrival and receiving your spa treatment so that we can ensure they are suitable for you. Please don’t hesitate to ask our advice when you make your booking.
- MOBILE PHONES
Our spa environment is one of relaxation and tranquillity. Please respect all spa guests’ right to privacy and serenity. In light of this, the spa is a mobile phone and smoke free zone.
All bookings are required to be paid in full at the point of reservation and any voucher numbers are required at the point of booking. If you intend to settle with gift vouchers, please do mention this to us on making your booking and bring the vouchers with you to present them to the Spa Reception upon your arrival. Failure to do so may result in full payment being requested.
If requests are made to check availability, the only way to guarantee the available space is to make a booking and payment in full. We do not make any provisional bookings and we cannot guarantee when availability has been checked it will still be available following your enquiry when no payment is taken.
Once payment has been received a confirmation email will be sent along with along with pre-arrival information.
Please ensure you provide at least 72 hours to reschedule or cancel your appointment or the full charge of your Spa day will apply.
The Coniston Spa reserves the right to raise prices and modify or discontinue treatments without prior notice to ensure that maximum standards of service and quality are met. All treatment and package prices are correct at time of publishing and are subject to change.
There may be occasions when advertised facilities, classes and therapies are not available or appropriate. In such incidents we do reserve the right to vary, amend, cancel or withhold without prior notice.
- GROUP BOOKINGS
The Coniston Spa operates a group booking policy, with a maximum group size. Guests making separate reservations will be treated as separate reservations. Guests making separate reservations and arriving onsite to join together as a group booking will not be tolerated.

- SPA ETIQUETTE
We kindly request all guests to respect other Spa users by refraining from the use of mobile phones, reserving poolside loungers and to keep noise to an agreeable level throughout The Day Spa facility.
In this way, all our guests will be able to enjoy the facilities in a convivial and stress free atmosphere.
We reserve the right to ask any guest or group of guests to leave the Spa if they are disturbing other users of the facilities.
Smoking is not permitted within the spa, Nourish terrace or on the patio area.
