Meet the Team: Shannon Cooper

We are delighted to introduce you to a face that may already be familiar to some of you, Shannon Cooper, our Guest services Supervisor at The Coniston. To find out a bit more about Shannon's role, we caught up with her and asked her a few questions …

What do you love most about working at the Coniston?

There are many things I love about working at The Coniston, but my favourite has to be the guests, especially welcoming back repeat guests! I enjoy trying to make every stay special by giving the best Yorkshire welcome we can offer.

How long have you worked here?

I have worked at The Coniston for over 3 years.

What is your job role?

My job role is Guest Services Supervisor, a forward facing role where I help look after guests and support our Reception and Reservations team.

Typical day in your job role?

A typical day within my job role would be dealing with new bookings, checking in guests and making sure everyone has a special stay and gets The Coniston experience. One moment I could be helping to plan a customer's perfect break and the next I could be welcoming guests and making sure they have a great first impression of our hotel. It's a diverse role, and no two days are ever the same, which keeps it fresh and exciting.

Favourite things about the Dales?

The views are my favourite thing about the Dales, they are everchanging. In my opinion, Spring is the best time of year, but that's mainly to see baby lambs skipping in the sunshine!
