2 AA Rosettes awarded to Macleod’s

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our flagship restaurant, Macleod’s, has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes.

To help us celebrate, we are offering all guests that dine in Macleod’s throughout October a complimentary glass of champagne.

The long-established Rosette Awards recognise excellence within the hospitality industry and the best in cooking across the nation. 2 AA Rosettes are described as: “Excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve higher standards and better consistency.  A greater precision is apparent in the cooking, and there will be obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients.”

As many of our loyal diners will know, over the last year we have put a huge amount of time and effort into developing our food and beverage offering. Our Executive Head Chef, Simon Bolsover, joined us in February this year and has had a tremendous impact on the development of our menus and the mentoring of our 15 strong team of chefs.

Our entire team across the hotel have become extremely passionate about our vision and we are absolutely delighted that their dedication and hard work has resulted in securing this fantastic accolade.

We had some truly humbling comments from the AA Inspector; he was very impressed in our ability to maintain complexity, delivering food of a 2 AA Rosette standard while catering for weddings, conferences and our second restaurant, Huntsman’s Lodge. He also made reference to the whole team delivering a consistently high level of service, from check in to check out.”

For those that may not know, Macleod’s was originally opened as a tearoom in 1992 and, due to the success and popularity, we began to diversify which led to the opening of the hotel in 1998, followed by the relaunch of Macleod’s as a hotel restaurant.

We’d like to take this opportunity to not only thank our hard-working staff that have been paramount in achieving this fantastic accolade, but also our regular diners who have supported us over the years.
